Enable clients to easily share their feedback by commenting on images in Client Galleries.
You can also reply to client comments and engage in a two-way conversation with them in real-time. There’s much more than Commenting!
Enabling Commenting for an Album enables:
- Visitors to comment on the images individually and share feedback with you.
- Visitors to see and reply to comments of other visitors.
- You, as a site owner, to view the comments of all visitors and reply to the comments.
In this article:
1. Types of Comments
Public Comments:
- Visitors (1) can comment on images.
- Visitors can see and reply to comments from other visitors (2) in a shared comment stream.
- The site owner can see and reply to the comments of all users (3) in the shared comment stream.
Private Comments:
- Visitors can comment privately on images.
- Visitors can not see comments from other users.
- The site owner can see each user’s comment stream and reply to them separately.
2. Enable Commenting on Album
For Individual Albums:
You have the option to enable commenting on individual albums.
- Go to the Client Galleries section.
- Click on the album on which you wish to turn on the comments and go to the Settings tab (1).
- Now, click on the Favorites and Comments (2) to open the Favorites Settings page.
- You will have the option to Comments on Images (3) and also Enable Private Comments (4) on the images.
- Choose the galleries (5) on which you want to allow commenting and favoriting.
- Hit the Save (6) button.
From Album Defaults:
You can enable Commenting by default for any new album
- Go to the Client Galleries section.
- Click on the Album Presets (1) tab and scroll down to the Comments (2) section.
- To allow commenting on images choose Yes and to enable private comments to check in the Enable Private Comments (3) option.
- Hit the Save (4) button.
- All the albums that you add henceforth will have the option of commenting by default.
3. Replying to Comments
Public Comments:
- The website owner can see all the comments in a single shared stream.
- All comments and replies will be visible in the shared stream and all the visitors can check and reply on the same stream.
Private Comments:
- The website owner will see each user’s comment stream separately.
- All the replies will be sent separately to the users and individual users can not see each other’s comments.
