Store Pickup

Shipping Region is a set of country-based shipping rates that will be applied to each order.

Pixpa gives you the option to set up several shipping rates in your website store so your customers can choose from a range of delivery speeds and costs.

You can specify your Shipping Regions and Shipping Rates from the Shipping option in Store.


Using this shipping option, you can specify the shipping rate in case of store pickup.

You can offer the store pickup option wherein the customers (who are willing) can pick up their order item(s) from your store thereby saving the shipping cost.

This option displays on the checkout page along with the other shipping options offered for a particular country.

Add the Store pickup option

  • Visit the Shipping page (1) and go to the Shipping Region (2). If you have not created it, click on the +Add Shipping Region button (3) to create it now.

  • Click on the Add Shipping Rate button.
  • Select the Store Pickup option to offer the store pickup option.

 

  • Now, enter the shipping rate name (1), and shipping rate (2) for store pickup.
  • Next up, you can specify the detailed pickup instructions (3) such as the store address, pickup timings, Google Map link, or any other required information. This information will be displayed on the order success page and the order confirmation email.
  • Finally, hit the Save (4) button.

 


Share the instructions and store location

  • The other way to give detailed instructions and share the store location is to create a separate page.
  • Then, add a text section to give any instructions and add a location section to show your store location accurately.
  • Once you have created this page, you can add this page link to the Detailed Pickup Instructions (shown above) or order confirmation page or email.

Note: In case, your customer wants a few items to be shipped and the others to be store picked, you can request the customer to place different orders (one for the items that can be shipped and the other for the items that will be store picked.)


Handling store pickup orders

1. Taking customer inputs

You can ask your customers for any instructions (any customizations or packaging instructions) regarding the order from the notes to the seller field present on the checkout page.

2. Notifying the customer

You can notify the customer once the order is ready for pickup by sending an email. Add the store or your contact information or any specific timings for pickup if any.

3. Change order status

Once the order is picked up by the customer, change the order status to Shipped.

4. Mark non picked orders as canceled

When the customer does not pick up his/her order, cancel the abandoned order after the specified waiting time. Specify this waiting time in your store’s terms of use policy or in the detailed pickup instructions (specified above).
