Pixpa offers auto fulfillment and self-fulfillment for your Store orders. You can use the self-fulfillment option if you wish to fulfill your orders using any lab of your choice and ship them.

In this article:

  1. Self-fulfillment.

Self-fulfillment

When you choose the self-fulfillment option, you will have to fulfill your orders personally outside of Pixpa. You will be the in-charge of ordering prints from your chosen lab and manage the shipping.

Photographers who wish to take full charge of the order fulfillment process can opt for this way.

If you wish to sell images hassle-free, you can use the automatic fulfillment (using WHCC).

A Price List is a set of print products, self-fulfillment products, and image download options.

Create a new Self-fulfillment price list:

  • Enter price list (1) in the Search Bar.
  • From the related results, click on the Client Galleries – Price Lists option (2) under Studio Links.

  • You will now reach the Price Lists page.
  • You would see all your price lists (3) along with the default price list i.e. My Self-fulfill (4).

  • You can also Edit (1), Duplicate (2), or Delete (3) any existing price list from here.
  • Click on Add Price List (4) button on the right top to add a new price list.

You would see a pop up where you need to add price list details like:

  1. Price List name: Add your price list name.
  2. Fulfillment Type – Choose Self Fulfilment here if you want to process all orders by yourself.

Note: If you want to automate the self fulfilment, setup print vendor or setup WHCC lab for auto fulfilment (You need to be a resident of USA).

  1. Include common products – Only check if you want to include demo products (Art Prints) in your price lists.
  2. Save – Click here to save the changes.

  • Once you create your self-fulfillment price list, you can add products like Prints, Mugs, Canvases, etc, to this sheet.
  • Click on the respective price list to add products to it.

Before creating products, We recommend you to create product categories to filter or structure your products.

If you do not want to create any custom category, you can skip this step and move to add the products to a particular price list.

Add products to the Self-fulfillment price list:

  • Open a particular Self-fulfillment price list where you want to add your products.
  • Click on the Add Product button in the top right corner, you would see an option to select which type of products you want to add i.e. Self-fulfilment products (1) and Image Downloads (2).

  • You can also edit (3), duplicate (4), or delete (5) any existing product by clicking on the settings icon next to it.

You can add two types of products:

  • Self-fulfillment Item – Sell items that you would ship (tees, prints, and other products). Know more.
  • Image Download – Sell download-ready digital files (music, software, video, etc). Know more.

Add a Self-fulfillment item

You can sell any Self-fulfillment or physical product that you would ship (like tees, prints, and other products).

On clicking on the Self-fulfillment item option, you would see a pop-up window where you can add:

  1. Item Title – The name of your product.
  2. Price – The default price of your product.
  3. Category – You can group your products into various categories. Like all print sizes come in the print category & canvas sizes will come in the canvas category.
Also See: Add a category in Client Galleries.
  4. This product is Tax-exempt – Check in this option to remove/exempt tax on this particular product.
  5. Specify Print Size – Choose whether to enable users to specify the image crop area for printing. If it’s not a print product, just select No.
In this case, there will be no crop on the cart page.

  1. Print Width/Height- Specify the width and height of the print product here. On the basis of the specified size, the system would generate a crop on your image.
The user would be able to move the crop and select the required area that should be printed if the crop is smaller than the actual image.
  2. Weight – Specify the weight of the product.
  3. Description – Add your product description. It would reflect on clicking on the info icon next to the product name on the cart page.

Save the product.

Add an Image Download

You can sell download-ready digital files (music, software, video, etc).
From here you can add:

  1. What will the customer download? You can allow your customer to download or buy either a single image one by one or a complete gallery in one go.
  2. Download size: You can allow your customer to download or buy various versions of your original images like large 2048px, medium 1200px, and small 400px.
  3. Item Title: The name of your product.
  4. Price: The default price of your product.
  5. This product is Tax-exempt: Check in this option to remove/eliminate the tax on this particular product.
  6. Description: Add your product description. It would reflect on the cart page by hovering on the product name.
  7. Save the product.

Managing Self fulfillment orders

  • If you use the Self-fulfillment option, you will have to fulfill your orders, manage the order status, and intimate your customer regarding the order status.
  • You will have to update the order status manually for all your orders from the Pixpa studio. See how to update order status.

Note: In case you cancel an order, you will have to refund the order amount manually from your end. See how to cancel and refund a paid order.

Export order items

  • From the Order page, you can use the Export Order button to export all the order-related information like the order items, quantity, price of each item, subtotal, filenames, etc.
  • If you wish to do some corrections to the ordered images before passing them for printing, you can simply export the Lightroom Filenames, find them in your Lightroom Catalog, and edit them.
