WHCC workflow in Pixpa

Pixpa’s integration with White House Custom Colour allows you to automate the process of printing and fulfilling orders directly from your website. This workflow helps you deliver professional quality prints to your clients while reducing manual effort in order handling.

How the WHCC workflow works

The WHCC workflow follows a streamlined process from order placement to delivery:

  1. A client places an order from your store or client gallery.
  2. The order is recorded in your Pixpa account.
  3. The payment made by the customer is credited directly to your connected payment account.
  4. Based on your settings, the order is either automatically sent to WHCC or kept for your review.
  5. You are responsible for managing and completing the payment to WHCC for order fulfillment.
  6. WHCC prints and prepares the order.
  7. The order is shipped to the selected address.

Order processing methods

You can choose how orders should be processed before being sent to WHCC. There are two options available:

Automatic Fulfillment

When this option is enabled, orders are automatically sent to WHCC as soon as they are placed.

  • No manual intervention is required.
  • You must upload high resolution original files in advance.
  • You can choose the print quality based on resolution:
    • 300 DPI for high quality prints. Requires larger file sizes
    • 180 DPI for standard print quality. Works with smaller file sizes
  • If an image does not meet the selected print resolution, the product will not be available for purchase.
  • Best suited for a fully automated workflow.

This option is ideal when your images are already optimized for print and you want a hands off process. Learn more.

Review Orders

When this option is enabled, orders are not sent automatically. Instead, you can review and approve them manually.

  • You can review each order before sending it to WHCC.
  • You can replace or update image files at the review stage.
  • Image resolution is not validated before checkout.
  • Provides more control over final output.

This option is useful when you want to verify files or make adjustments before fulfillment.

Shipping Configuration

You can choose how orders should be shipped based on your preference:

Dropship to customer’s address

Orders are shipped directly to the customer’s address provided during checkout. This is the most commonly used option and allows for a seamless delivery experience without any manual handling.

Send to my studio address

Orders are shipped to your studio instead of the customer. This option is useful if you want to review or handle the prints before delivering them to your clients.

Please note that if you choose this option, you must have a valid studio address in the United States for WHCC to deliver the prints.

This flexibility allows you to either automate deliveries or maintain control over the final handoff to your clients. Learn more.

Communication with Customer

There is no direct communication between WHCC and your customers. You are responsible for managing everything from order updates to payments through your WHCC account.

You can share updates with your clients manually or by updating the Order Fulfillment Status from your Pixpa account. Learn more.
