Flat Rate Shipping
The flat rate shipping applies to any order irrespective of the number of items in the order. Using this, you can specify the per order shipping rate.
Here, you can specify the per-item fee (that applies to the items present in the order) wherein the item’s weight does not matter.
Most suitable for:
- Outlets that sell items of similar weight.
- Valuable items whose cost is very high and shipping cost is very low when compared to the item cost.
Shipping based on Order Weight
Using the shipping based on order weight, you can create different shipping rates based on the total order weight.
You can add the weight ranges and respective shipping rates. You can also set the shipping rate for the final weight range that would account for all the orders above the highest weight specified to ∞ (all the heavy orders would come under this range).
Before you create these weight ranges, you need to specify the weight of your products.
Most suitable for:
- Stores that sell products of varied weights.
Shipping based on Order Total
Using the shipping based on order total, you can create different shipping rates based on the order total.
You can add the order total (value) ranges and respective shipping rates. You can also set the shipping rate for the final order total range that would account for all the orders above the highest order value specified to ∞.
Most suitable for:
- Stores that sell sophisticated and expensive products.
Shipping based on Number of Items
Using the shipping based on number of items, you can create different shipping rates based on the number of items in the order.
You can add the number of items ranges and respective shipping rates. You can also set the shipping rate for the final number of items range that would account for all the orders above the highest number of items specified to ∞.
Most suitable for:
- Stores that sell products of similar weight.
Store Pickup shipping
Using this shipping option, you can specify the shipping rate in case of store pickup.
You can offer the store pickup option wherein the customers (who are willing) can pick up their order item(s) from your store thereby saving the shipping cost.
Most suitable for:
- Stores that are not connected to any shipping service.
- Local stores that sell items to nearby locations.
