Image Ratings allow you and your clients to review, filter, and organize images inside client albums more efficiently. Using this feature, clients can rate images or assign status labels after logging in, making image selection and feedback clearer and more structured.
As a website owner, you can also track all rating and label activity from Image Rating settings.

What are Image Ratings
Image Ratings let clients interact with images inside a client album by assigning either star ratings or status labels. These ratings help streamline workflows such as approvals, edits, shortlisting, and final selections.
You can choose between two types of image ratings:
- Star Ratings ranging from 1 to 5
- Status Labels that you can customize based on your workflow
Image Ratings are available inside client albums. Clients must be logged in to their account to rate images. Multiple clients can rate the same album, allowing you to collect feedback from different stakeholders in one place.
Image Ratings Overview
When Image Ratings are enabled for a client album, clients can interact with images directly from the front end of your website. This makes it easy for them to review, organize, and shortlist images based on their preferences, while giving you clear visibility into their selections.
Rating images using stars
Clients can rate images using star ratings ranging from 1 to 5.
- Clicking on a star assigns that rating to the image.
- Clients can select 0 stars to remove an existing rating and unrate the image.
- The selected star rating is displayed on the image thumbnail, making it easy to identify highly rated images at a glance.

Star ratings are ideal when clients want to rank images based on preference or quality.
Rating images using status labels
If status labels are enabled, clients can assign a label to each image instead of using stars.
- Clients can choose from the available status labels shown in the image options.
- Labels help indicate the current state of an image, such as approval, rejection, or work in progress.
- Status labels can be updated or changed at any time.

This option works well for approval based workflows and structured feedback.
Filtering images using ratings
Once Image Ratings are enabled, the filter option becomes available automatically in the gallery view.
- Clients can filter images by star ratings/labels to view only images with specific ratings or labels.
- Filters make it easy to separate top rated images from the rest of the gallery.
- This improves searchability and speeds up the review process for large galleries.

Using filters with search
The filter option is also available within the search field.
- Clients can search for images using tags or keywords.
- While searching, they can apply rating filters at the same time.
- This allows clients to narrow down results using both search terms and ratings together.

Enable Image Ratings
- From the Dashboard (1) of the studio, click on Client Galleries (2) section.

- Open the album (3) that you want to edit.
- Click on the Settings (3) tab and open Image Ratings (4) section.

- Select Yes (6) to allow clients to rate images within the album.

Choosing the Image Ratings Type
- Star Ratings Type – Star Ratings allow clients to rate images on a scale from 0 to 5. This option is ideal when you want clients to rank images based on preference or quality.
- Status Labels – Status Labels allow clients to assign a specific status to each image. This option works well for review and approval workflows.

Enable Image Ratings for Individual Galleries
Within an album, you can control Image Ratings at the gallery level.
- Enable or disable Image Ratings for specific galleries
- Keep Image Ratings active only where client feedback is required
