Customer accounts are a great way to build your relationships with your site visitors. Once you have enabled this feature on your store, your customers can create accounts, save the cart, view all the orders information, and save their addresses.

Enable customer accounts
To allow customer accounts on your store, follow these steps:
- Enter customer accounts (1) in the Search Bar.
- From the related results, click on the Store Checkout option (2) under Studio Links.
- You will now reach the Settings > Checkout page.
- Now, enable/disable the customer accounts (3) on your store.
- In case you have selected the Optional option here, customers can create store accounts for checkout. Guest checkout will also be available.
- In case you have selected the Required option here, customers have to create a store account for checkout. Guest checkout will not be available.
- In case you have selected the Disabled option here, customers cannot create a store account for checkout. Only Guest checkout will be available.
- Finally, hit the Save (4) button.
How to log in/sign up as a customer?
- Once you have enabled the customer accounts, they can sign up and log in to their accounts using a customer login link that displays in your site header.
- This login link will display automatically once you have enabled this feature. Know more.
- You can also add a link menu item to your header and link it to this login page.
View customer accounts
- The customer accounts can only be handled by the customers who have created them.
- You can view all your store customers from the Store customers page in the Contacts section.
- From the Customers page, you can:
- View the Name and Email ID (1) of the customer.
- View whether the customer has subscribed (2) to your newsletter.
- View whether the customer has an account (3) in your store.
- View the number of orders (4) of each customer.
- View the total revenue (5) received from a customer.
- Click on the customer name to view more details like the orders placed in your store.
Account Emails
Your customers will receive the password reset automated emails whenever they click on the Forgot Password link from the login page.

Can customers place an order without an account?
Yes, if you have selected optional or disabled options in your checkout settings, then your customers can checkout as a Guest.
But, in case you have selected the required option, then the customer needs to have an account to checkout.
